Prof. Anna Lewicka-Strzalecka

Anna Lewicka-Strzałecka Ph.D. is a Professor at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland. Her primary research interests include praxiology, practical philosophy, science of science and business ethics. She published several books and almost a hundred articles and conference papers.  She is a founder and vice-chairman of EBEN Poland.
Prof. Lewicka-Strzałecka has participated in several research projects. Among them was the research program "Ethics in the Polish Economy: Perception, Preferences, Norms" which was supported by the State Committee for Scientific Research. It was one of the first empirical researches aimed at describing ethical attitudes of employees and finding their determinants in the quickly changing economy. The results of this project are published in Lewicka-Strzalecka's book "Ethical Standards of Companies and Employees".
The last empirical research carried out by her was devoted to the comparison of moral attitudes of consumers from Poland and several UE countries.
Prof. Lewicka-Strzałecka is also an academic teacher. Among other she teaches business ethics at the Leon Kozminski Academy of Enteneuership and Management. As business ethics was a completely new subject in the curricula of the Polish universities and academies she has contributed from the very beginning in creating the educational program from the substantial and methodical point of view.
